A lot of people that lived thru the 60's would have included the Beach Boys' 'God Only Knows' and the Beatles 'A Day in the Life' at the top of this list.

This is the closest list I have ever agreed with EXECPT the Rolling Sones, The Doors Sang thier lyrics on Sullivan that shows integrity, the Stones however on Sullivan changed the lyrics to let's spend the night together to let's spent some time together, no integrity just $.

It's an impossible task ranking songs of very different genres in one list. I'd probably split it into top 100 for each of these categories: (1) Pop/rock, (2) R&b/Soul/Motown/Blues, (3) Early Heavy and prog rock. Jazz is also a vital component of 1960s music.
But good effort overall.
