Im russian and idk why wargaming didnt translate the name of the ship properly
Its not Kozma, but Kuz'ma
Ship is named after Кузьма Минин Минич, he done plenty of things during the time of смута (smuta), which is uh, kinda civil war, which appeared due to unability to find new leader.

Speaking of tier 9 counterpart. One take with the Dmitri Donskoi? It is criminally under represented on youtube.

Donskoi with 12% less HE dpm and fires, but:

-27% better AP dpm

-30mm deck, 27mm sides (instead of 27, 25)

-additional 8% speed boost

-3° better angles front and back

-HE pens 51mm (instead of 30)

-Airstike ASW

-0.7km better range

-torps have 6 instead of 8km range, but hits 24.5% harder
Reload reduced from 117 to 74s

I got this ship out of my third container and I absolutely love it, I went rudder as engine boost helps with acceleration.

I agree cruisers need plane asw but I love depth charging subs in dd. I have over 60 depth charge kills in gearing. I recently started playing marceau. It has low charge count but the speed helps get you on the subs. Daring can be decent sub hunter with its hydro. Recently got it too but playing marceau more

An underlooked advantage over Donskoi/Roon... both are tech tree vs Kozma as a premium so you can spec your 21 pt captains to this ship for free.

Loving the ship - a genuine nice addition to the Soviet line. Rough first night in ranked with like Nevsky having distance between you and BBs with overmatch is mandatory. I say worth the money.

i got it by trading in the tokens for the red October boxes . its pretty decent

They need to increase the sigma on the Nevsky (I know they buffed it once; they need to buff it more). The shells are too random (in particular at range) and is why I don't usually play it.
