Best Way to Join Indian Army in Medical Field - MNS & AFMC MBBS | Centurion Defence Academy

In this video Mrs. Gurkirat Kaur ( Center Head CEPL) explains the everything you need to know for a medical career in the armed forces. MNS (Military Nursing Service) is the corps of nurses (Nursing Officers) in the AFMS (Armed Forces Medical Services). Their basic qualification is in the nursing stream (diploma/degree). So MNS has nurses, not doctors. AFMC graduates, with an MBBS degree, are commissioned as Medical Officers [doctors] in the AMC (Army Medical Corps) of the AFMS. AFMC is just one of the various entries for Medical Officers in the AMC. The ranking structure of MNS (Nursing) officers and AMC (Medical) officers is the same - Lieutenant, Captain, Major and so on (or their IAF/IN equivalents). AFMC stands for Armed Forces Medical College. AFMC is one of the well-reputed and premier institute for medical sciences in India. AFMC is offering admission for its 4 years B.Sc Nursing courses. Good quality training for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students is assured for those aspiring a career in defence.
