After watching this video I went ahead and purchased the VB212 Mini V-Mount Battery on April 16th, 2024. I already own 8 VB155 Mini V-Mount Batteries with no issues. But this VB212 Battery is already showing to be defective. As of this writing, July 5th, 2024, while charging the battery via the USB-C1 port, the charging percentage is stuck at 4 percent and it's been charging for over 12 hours. It is definitely defective. The problem now is getting it replaced here in the US, since SmallRig company is in China and the 30 day window for returns at B&H Photo has expired. I'm now have a $477 paper weight. Highly upset to say the least.

Please stop slapping Youtuber’s names on your products. If they are good they will sell either way. By doing this we all have to pay more because the Youtuber wants his cut too.

I notice he couldn’t get the port cover back on by feel while talking. Not the end of the world, but the design probably needs some attention. Those hinge loops on the top are begging to get ripped off…and then the cover is gone for good. Kinda reminds me of the Homer Simpson “super car” episode. Sometimes the “knowledgeable end user” doesn’t see the bigger picture and you end up with the wrong kind of kludged together design.
