Having travelled through Europe almost in its entirety on business and just leisurely alike, I can only partially agree with you.
First, it is the GENERAL RULE: always get some info of the countries you are going to visit and learn a couple of simple expressions in the language in question, like good morning, thank you, how are you and the like. Then the doors would be open for you in a welcome way. It works everywhere, except France and Germany. French people tend to prefer francophones, and German in overwhelming majority see themselves as superior to others deep on their soul; especially for Slavic people they still experience a “Herrenvolk symptom” - no offence meant.
Russians are rude inside their country to each other just the way they are outside to everybody, especially when they have some money.
But for the rest - I disagree; Italians are just hospitable, so are Turkish people, and just for the simple “nasılsınız?” they really are touched.
England - well, what is silence? A conversation with an Englishman .
Poland - we have a lot of Americans now, and all of them enjoy being here. We always remember the help from US in 1920, and in 1980-s when we needed that most. We even enjoy American Polish Jokes, for we have no complexes.
Welcome to my country, bring your heart and soul along, and you are sure to like it!

Definately disagree with China being on this list at all. But the No1 being France 💯 spot on.

True, in Spain I have met rude people, I won’t forget a women employee in the Post Office in Spain, but she was far outweighed by other Spanish people I’ve met young and old. Only thing stopping me from living in Spain are all the British living there.

My son travelled the world on his own, lived in England, Ireland and Russia. Rated Russia as the best country he had been in! True, he lived in a little town in the country, true, he is amazingly capable with his hands, a great plumber, good carpenter, competent electrician and drinks very little. He lived in a town peopled mainly by women, the males there were almost universally drunks, incompetent and civil servants. I dread visiting that town, I think I may have hundreds of grand children there.

Surprised to see USA on this list. Americans smile and say hello to strangers and they also say excuse me if they accidently get in your way. I've been to Switzerland and Germany where there are no words for "excuse me in their language'', they just push you out of the way.

Interesting, Paris, on its own, has more tourists than Germany or Turkey

I assume this is mainly about major tourist destinations. If so, Egypt has a very bad reputation. But there are even worse examples but which few have ever visited.

Rudeness is in the opinion of the recipient; I'm more likely to laugh than take offense. I concentrate on facts and since they don't care about feelings, neither do I.

Today I have a 4 hour layover at Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris, sure I will look for signs that endorse your view that they are the top in rudeness. Probably I will not notice anything in an International terminal but let's see...
