Mangalacharan: Aho Shri Satpurushke
English Meaning
Oh, wonderful are the ambrosial words of saintly persons that are universally beneficial! Their facial features and the wholesome contact become helpful in awakening the soul from its slumbering state; they prevent the falling tendency and stabilize it. They are obviously faultless, become helpful in manifesting the unique pure nature and are the treasure of all virtues.(1)
Explanation
While starting a wholesome activity it is customary to recite the introductory prayer or words of obeisance, which is called Mangalacharan. This Mangalacharan is meant for withdrawing the tendency from the external mode and fixing it in devotion to the Lord or to a saintly person, who is a sort of representative of Lord. The word ‘Oh’ indicates the amazement that occurs to the devotee as he turns his attention towards the saintly person. While reflecting upon his words the devotee finds them ambrosial, in the sense that they become helpful in awakening the consciousness that had been slumbering and also that they happen to be beneficial to everyone. His evident innocence and detachment can stabilize the falling tendency of the devotee and hold it from going down.

What is #Ajnabhakti?
A fundamental and important part of a seeker's spiritual practices is bhakti. One of the most essential components is Ajnabhakti, that is, a sequence of prayers ordained by the Guru, to be performed every day with great devotion. The noble intention of Ajnabhakti is to start each day of this priceless human life attained by the Lord’s grace, through connection with Him, extolling His virtues and conclude the day too with the memory of the boundless blessings bestowed by Him along with a sense of deep surrender. This facilitates an increase in one’s level of purity through the day and lifetime. This connection with the Lord and Guru ultimately culminates in connection with one’s Self.
Abiding by the beneficial commands given by #PujyaGurudevshri, seekers of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission #Dharampur across the globe follow a series of prayers daily, in the morning and evening.
