Wait so if that's true why do "most" scholar believe that? Is there other evidence? Something to give the other believe halt?

In light what we know for absolute certain about languages, their evolution and histories, the tower of babel gets to be the biggest, most obviously bullshit story of the entire bible.

One might say the moral of the story is more important, but in this case it is laughable as well. Apparently, an omniscient, omnipotent, omnibenevolent god - who supposedly knew this would happen from the outset by the way - can get jealous. Of humans. Let that one sink in. So jealous in fact as to make it difficult for people to communicate and cooperate and easy to fight and feud.
