Reintroduce? more like completely ignore what the nameplate was. The Maverick was even worse in the respect that they made it a psudo truck like the Honda Ridgeline. Don't get me wrong, it rides nice, but they dropped the ball with what name they used. They could have called it the Courier, at least then it would have matched the style with the vehicle name. The only reason they went with Maverick was the launch timing was in time of the newer Top Gun Maverick movie's first trailers. If they wanted to make a Maverick, they should have made a damn car.

They are similarly dropping the ball with this Ranchero. I mean sure, they are getting the sorta truck thing right, but it's too tall and just like all trucks today, has too many doors. The Platform is the same as the Maverick, the Bronco, and the, wait for it, ESCAPE!

The only reason the Maverick fails at towing is because it's a FWD typically. There is an AWD version which solves some of that. then add the "tow package" to actually do some pulling. But that's expensive and you might as well buy the ranger by that point. Oh and don't bother with the Hybrid if you expect to tow, whether with the Maverick or this newer Ranchero. It has functionally no weight capacity and is just a glorified Escape with an open air cargo area.

1:17 If what is shown is what they were actually making the Ranchero to be, that would prove that they are listening to the customer complaints and I would be impressed, but they are not. It's going to be a 4 door monstrosity that has a 4.5' or less bed I guarantee it.

Also lol 20k, cheaper than the Maverick? What are you smoking? that's what the MSRP of the Maverick was. Basically there is a lot of smoke about what this vehicle will look like, cost, and what powers it.

Also, it's way past the 2024 model year start now, It's already into the 2025 model year and no Ranchero. Perhaps they actually are listening to the Backlash and potentially reworking the design to actually match what is shown as a two door in this video?
