I’m a pipeliner, I tow a large camper with a 2016 1500 with a 6” lift. Ride is tough but it gets the job done

I pull a 5th wheel with a 13 Chevy 2500HD DMax with 6inch Procomp lift on 35s. Had to raise trailer pin box to top level and hitch head to bottom slot. Tows like a champ with no issues.

It’s important to know a factory 2500hd needs a 2” hitch drop. So if you have a 6” lift you need 8” hitch drop. I have bds 6.5” and I needed 8” drop hitch. I towed my hellcat and it was easy.

yes they can tow. you have to offset your lift with a drop hitch. also the size of the trailer and truck are at question too. a 2 inch increase on a 10ft trailer will cause the trailer to dance at 65 where as just putting in a 2 inch drop hitch levels the trailer back out with my explorer. it has a 2 inch spacer lift. found this out on my way from little rock to nashville. got 20 miles down the road and bought a drop hitch.

Imo along as you have a good breaking setup I find towing with a lifted truck that a 6 inch lift gives you amazing stability and still able to put the power down an that's worth 35x12.5x17

My 6 inch Fabtech lift reduced body roll and increased stability. Should have done it on day one.

Very helpful video! I'd completely overlooked load rating in my tire browsing. Thanks!

I wish I could lift my truck but all this that he’s saying is the reason why I’m not doing anything but tint stock rim size tail lights etc
Just settle stuff so I don’t blow my truck up on the way to the track

The 14 wide tires on a 16 wide wheel is also a max tow drop.

Great video, great information. I would add one more thing and that would be to look at upgrading your breaks. Especially with larger wheels and tires

A lot of people talk about the suspension and handling but what about the transmission and differentials?
