Hi M-lee Baker - glad you liked the video. I wouldn't recommend using these kites on the water for body dragging as there isn't a safety setup, the lines may break, and the kites aren't designed to relaunch. I would recommend taking a body drag lesson and they should have actual Kiteboarding kites included in the lesson. Keeping your trainer kite dry and sand free will also help it last longer!

Started on a two line Peter Lynn Hype 2.3. A great intro, but quickly moved beyond after half dozen flights. Now fly, PL 4M^2 Hornet with 4 lines and dual control sticks. Scary flying first half dozen, but now ready for bigger...or with landboard. Flying mostly in 3-5 knot winds with occasional 7 knot gusts. They don't tell you that a bigger kite is more sluggish and tight turns kill speed/altitude. Also, in low wind it's almost impossible to park at 1-2 and 10-11 o'clock wind window position, gotta keep it moving with vertical figure 8's. Also, don't be afraid to do outside looping turns.

Great clip. Wish I had watched it when I received my Leading Edge Trainer. Can you learn to body drag with them? Mine wouldn't relaunch when it got wet.

Where should the kite be launched from in reference to the person with the bar? It appears to be directly downwind in this video, but I have read that you should never launch directly downwind.
