$2500? big deal. He should have been DQ'ed. Forever Young was robbed of at least 2nd place, if not the win!

How much of a joke does this small fine make world horse racing look?!?!, he should’ve lost his license and got a bigger fine or hefty suspension and fine, taking nothing away from the winner he was in front on the line!!! But I DO believe Forever Young would’ve won without the interference!!! This is why people believe horse racing is crooked!!! This is a disrespectful disgrace!!!

Seriously if this is what im thinking it is... i just hope the jockeys would not do or harm another horse because he is from another country. Sierra Leone is a horse that lugs in coming around the 3/4 pole. And he 11 horse goes wide. The japanese jockey didn't know you can ask for an inquiry because In Japan only a Stewart can ask for one. And that fine isnt even a slap on the hand. This is also a first for me to see a jockey punch a horse. I thought he punched the other jockey because when they came across the wire they both had exchanges with each other.

Churchill has a history of bad or corrupted stewards. Remember Tyler Gaff and what he did to Maximum Security?Well Gaff did it again in this Derby to the Japanese horse.

Everyone that watches a lot of races was waiting for the inquiry light. ....

How much are they going to find the stewards for not taking corrective action at the time ??? This is a big joke ! Tyler stop FY from winning a 5 million dollars purse with the dirtiest riding I have ever seen in horse racing ! Stewards did nothing at the time. He even cost himself second place in the process of stopping FY from winning, this is a disgrace! Now a measely $2500 fine ??

I guess racing has gone down the sad path as the rest of the world of no accountability.

For those who dont know Tyler have been one of the dirtiest Rider out there for a long time. The habbit in America of the outside horse pulling closely against the rail horse to slow him down with the obsticle of the rails and the incoming horse/ jockey must stop !
They have the nerve to call it " Just Race Riding " .
Another thing is that every other country train their horse/ jockey to win races in the middle of the track, in America every one is gunning to suck onto the rail ! This endangers lives !

Should be banned. Too dangerous and cheats need to be removed from competition.

Wow, I'm shocked the jockey would do anything to win but to do it at the Kentucky Derby is professional suicide.

I am going to comment as someone who rode and trained racehorses for many years. This situation is quite common on the race track. Because they were in the home stretch and the cameras were on them is the only reason there was a fine at all. There are sometimes all out brawls between jockeys in a race. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean this is not a common occurrence. Yes, the Japanese jockey could have called foul but didn't know he could. Jockeys get whips in the face and horses get punched and pushed. When you are riding a 1, 500 pound animal in a pack of other horses of the same size going 40 miles an hour it can get quite spicy at times.

That photo at the end. What a photo! Even the horses look deadly serious.

Said he had thirty days to pay the fine of 2500 dollars. That’s a joke, Gafliones second place finish netted him about fifty thousand dollars.

About time. He should be removed from second place

K.D. Racing Authority...couldn't stand a FOREIGN HORSE WINNING that K.Derby TROPHY...#11 SHOULD HAVE WON, NO DOUBT!! #3..was screaming for the wire, out of gas!!

He first bumped FY and subsequently lugged in all through the straight, the winner could have been FY, certainly SL should have lost second place.

One word best describes this -PATHETIC!!!. FY was denied the win by his actions. If his jockey had lodged a foul I’m thinking he at least gets moved up to 2nd. Sad day in racing
