I'm back, exploring my backyard garden to find native plants that have awesome fall color. Landscaping and gardening with native plants is so much fun because our plants are tough, and beautiful.

I had a crazy summer but I'm excited to be back posting videos and interacting with the community again.

gorgeous colors! Everything looks so dynamic!
We had a crazy dry late summer here in ky, but my little bluestems, asters, and red twig dogwoods all managed to hang on and are now the stars of my little garden ☺

We've been in an "extreme" drought (3 years now) except for hurricanes Devbie and Helene. I've really learned a lot about what can survive these conditions: almost entirely native plants

Thank you much for sharing your yard and your autumn garden! I'm in the early stages of working on my own suburb yard and it's awesome to see what it could look like. I'm also glad to see you solved the Sump Pump Issue with the red dogwood - I just planted one in the wet corner of my yard so we'll see how it does!

Yay, new video! I'm curious about the wahoo. It's supposed to be a native garden's answer to the burning bush.

Ummm....yeah, so I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT, actually. Thanks for giving us a tour. I think your shrubs and grasses are gorgeous!!! That little bluestem and the chokeberries are absolutely divine. Yes, the algorithm may have bit you a tad, as I didn't see your video in my feed, but I was thinking about you today and wondering how you were doing, so I looked up your channel name, which is easy to remember, and found this video! I love the hazelnuts. I was wanting to put some in my backyard, but maybe it gets too big for where I want to put it...I'm still deciding. Autumn is my favorite season, and I need to get out more and just soak it in (even though I get outside a lot). It never feels long enough.

ugh I'm dealing with a mulberry on a fence line. I keep cutting it back and it keeps growing back! Last year I didn't get around to it and got a few berries. I would keep it except it is growing through my chain link fence and will most likely get girdled and possibly destroy my fence as it gets bigger.

Can you let me know where you got the wahoo from? I would like to have one or where i can get seeds. Thanks for the video.

Do you have a video about the northern spice bush? What it tastes like, how to use it? Thank you!

Hi there! Just found your channel and I am super excited to watch your videos. I have a question about your hazelnut shrub, just wondering how old it is? Mine is probably 3ish years old and hardly any growth. I finally caged it after a year because something kept eating it all the way to the ground. It’s only knee high after all this time so I am thinking that it’s too shade for what it likes. I would love your advice. Thanks!
