When they played this at The Concert for George, in "Isn't it a Pity", first off, Billy Preston takes everyone to Church on that Hammond Organ. He was phenomenal. But during Eric's guitar lead, and it's tough to see because of the camera angles, not only was it that absolutely iconic Clapton playing, but I could swear I saw a tear coming down his cheek. I might be wrong, but honestly, he and George were best friends, and Clapton, who lost a Son, is playing this concert after losing his best friend, and playing with Dhani, George's son. I'm a Child of the 60s, I grew up with all this music in the 60s, and 70s, maybe I'm getting a bit emotional at my age, but I tear up when I hear some of these songs. They bring me back to what I feel, was a much better, simpler time. My parents were hippies, and I was a naked little kid running around at Woodstock without a care in the world.
I hate to speak negatively, but the garbage "music" kids listen to these days (for the most part, cause there are a very few exceptions), is all computer sampled, and there's no way that they'll be listening to it 50-60 years from now.
We got lucky to be dropped into the very best time period for music. At least, that's my feeling. ✌️

Sure painting a rosy picture when it was clear they considered Harrison’s work as underwhelming which is why he brought in the big gun for the solo. Now you know.
