New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is holding his daily press conference on the Covid-19 outbreak, which has infected more than 304,300 people across the state as of Friday, according to data compiled by the New York Department of Health. Cuomo said on Tuesday that the state would need to hire thousands of contact tracers to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19 and allow officials to ease strict social distancing guidelines. He said the state would need at least 30 contact tracers per 100,000 people.

I have to listen daily, Otherwise, i can't even cope. Am grateful that he talked about mental health issues today. I don't see myself calling any hotline. Gov Cuomo IS my hotline. i don't live downstate or in a high-risk area. I know "we'll get through this" Of course we will, i know this intellectually. But this whole thing - it's too EFF'n MUCH!!! Are the newer cases as far along as the older cases, or are they being treated at an earlier stage because the infection rate has slowed and they aren't being turned away due to lack of space?

The rate of hospitalizations isn't a bad thing. This could mean more people are coming in to get the virus treated early, and this means better survival. This could be the reason why more and more people are recovered and discharged from the hospital every day. Don't shame people who want to get the help they need.
