James Brown Dance Party is the most popular celebration of the music of James Brown bringing together members of James Brown's Band with contemporary artists from bands like Lettuce, Trombone Shorty, Snarky Puppy, Trey Anastasio Band, Galactic, Big Gigantic, John Legend Band, Talib Kweli Band, Vulfpeck, The Dap Kings and more. Legendary musicians from Kool and The Gang, Sly And The Family Stone, Prince Band, Michael Jackson Band, and more participate in this project too! The shows always rotate these prolific musicians in a celebration of the music of James Brown. These live performances featuring full live bands are high energy, fun performances that celebrate the diversity of the musicians and fans of James Brown. Concert goers are always encouraged to express themselves fully, both in how they dress and how they get down and dance at the concerts.
