At Adda | Conversation with Michael Burawoy | Public, Sociology and Pandemic
Michael Burawoy is an eminent sociologist at Berkley. Over the four decades
he has developed the extended case method that allows broad conclusions to be drawn from ethnographic research. His advocacy of public sociology has generated much interest across the globe. And his theoretical-methodological contributions to sociology and anthropology is enormous. He has been President of the American Sociological Association (2003-4);
President of the International Sociological Association (2010-14); founding editor of the ISA magazine, Global Dialogue (2010-2017); and he is now Chair of the Berkeley Faculty Association.

Galp Lok is largely executed and enacted by some youthful academics, researchers, and public intellectuals. And it reaches out to anyone interested in more ideas than orchestration, more feelings than melodramatic exaggeration, more narratives than mere red herrings and whataboutery.
