I finally completed the CB500 race bike build just a handful of days before my first race outing on the bike.
In this video you'll see it finally transform into it's final state along with what it took me to get there.

Overall this bike cost me just under £2000 including buying the original bike for £700. I kept costs low by buying most things used (used items marked with a *)
