I do this too and it really works ingredients I used and it removed stains was baking soda, vinegar and dawn dish soap !!

I think your just making the fabric look nice... your definitely not cleaning it... with a rag... on a lid that for sure. It's a fake suede couch... so yeah your making it look I guess, more groomed.

Don’t waste your time people. It doesn’t do shit. Because there isn’t any pressure being applied at the center of the rag.
This is no different than soaking a rag in soapy water and lightly dragging it across the surface of the couch.

This is so lazy and useless. The towel’s gonna lose its tightness, because, fabric stretches and you’re holding it on by hand…
You’d be better off and get a much deeper clean, by removing the lid and just scrubbing with a rag and your hand.
