We are half way through our 14 night mediterranean cruise with P&O Cruises onboard Azura! Today is the half way point of the holiday, Mount Etna comes to play and starts erupting whoch grounds all flights to a hault, thnakfully its not embark or debark for us and we're free to enjoy Malta!

We take the Barrakka Lift to an incredible viewing platform, we wonder the streets if Valletta and take in all of this beautoful UNESCO World Heritage Site city has to offer.
We then take the open top double decker bus up to the almost unreal and totally unmatched beauty of the city of Mdina, the home of Kings Landing from Game Of Thrones. And wow, it blew us away.

The day Mount Etna tried to ruin our plans and our cruise 🙈 when the air raid siren started I was scared…! But Malta is absolutely beautiful, Mdina even more so, I hope you enjoy! Sam x

First laguage in malta is English, have family in malta and none of them say we have morrocan etc in their lingo, british left malta 40yrs ago after over 150 years malta part of commonwealth, the only place the late Queen Elizabeth lived outside U.K for 2years when philip was based there check out history ...

Yes its always great to go back I do miss it, and for a small place there is so much to see to explore it got everything home from home from here in uk

Hi Sam & family, oh no trust Mount Etna to start 'shouting' just as you arrived!!!! eeek! But pleased that she wasn't too lively!!! 🙃 Malta looks so beautiful, full of culture and great architecture..That view from up above was stunning too, wow! Those Maltese Pastries look very nice too! Grazzi 😋 x
