Wake Forest DB suplexes Duke player leading to costly penalty

During the college football game between Duke and Wake Forest, a Wake Forest DB made a poor decision when he unnecessarily suplexed a Duke receiver. The Demon Deacons received a 15 yard penalty for the play and Duke then hit the game winning field goal later in the drive to win 24-21.

Many years ago my JUCO coach had a team wide meeting before the start of the season and said "he would not hesitate to cut you quick, if you cost the team by repeatedly doing dumb plays". He preferred hard good players, than great gifted players that could not control themselves.

That is a 5 point throw in Greco and Freestyle. Unfortunately it is illegal in NCAA football and American Folkstyle.

Was it unnecessary though? He's trying to get him down, there's no whistle, game on the line. If he let's go of him instead of thrusting back at that last moment, receiver runs for a first down or more. Nothing in the rulebook about "suplex."

He literally landed on his shoulder but everyone is saying he landed on his head/neck. I agree with the penalty but it looked WAY worse from the tv camera angle than what really happened. Anyone who has wrestled in should be proud of WF #10. he just needs to do that on the mat, not the field.
