1990 Super Bros. 4
This hack is based on Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels and features modified graphics and changes to power-ups. For instance, a Super Mushroom turns Mario into Fire Mario, and a Super Star lets him "swim" in the air.

Mario IV
This hack replaces the protagonist in Armadillo with Mario, using graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3. There are versions that allow level selection from the start.

Super Mario 4 (Game Boy)
Based on the Japan-exclusive Crayon Shin-chan 4, this hack features Mario as the protagonist. It has four levels, with increased difficulty compared to the original.

Super Bros. 5
A hack of Super Mario Bros. 2 that only changes the title and includes funny errors, like spelling "Mario" as "Merio."

Super Bros. 6
This hack of Tiny Toon Adventures replaces Buster Bunny with a pink Mario, using some graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Mario Bros. 7 / 7 Grand Dad
A famous hack of The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy that replaces Fred Flintstone's head with Mario's, blending original dialogues with modified graphics.

Super Mario World 7 / Super Mario Land 7
A Game Boy hack of Adventure Island II, featuring Mario as the protagonist and enemies from the Mario universe. The graphics mix various Mario games.

Super Bros. 8
Based on Don Doko Don 2, this hack replaces the main characters with Mario and Luigi, using some graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Bros. 9
A hack of Adventure Island II, where Mario takes Master Higgins' place. It uses graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3 and starts with 10 lives instead of 3.

Super Bros. 10: Kung Fu Mari
This hack takes Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu and replaces the martial artist with Mario, while maintaining the original gameplay and using graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Bros. 11 / Mario Adventures 11
A hack of Adventure Island 3, featuring Mario as the protagonist with advantages like 30 items of each type and 9 lives.

Super Mario 12
A simple hack of Yoshi's Cookie, which only modifies the title screen while keeping the original gameplay intact.

Super Mario Bros. 13 / Super Brother Mario 13
This hack of Saiyūki World 2 (known as Whomp 'Em) replaces the main character with Mario, using graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Mario 14
Based on Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3, this hack changes some sprites of enemies and characters to resemble Mario characters while maintaining the original gameplay.

Mario Bros. 14 Adventures
A hack of Tiny Toon Adventures 2, replacing Tiny Toon characters with Mario versions and using graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Mario 16 / Super Bros Jurassic Park
In this hack of Joe & Mac, Mario replaces one of the prehistoric protagonists, utilizing graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Bros. 16
This hack of Kid Niki 2 features a poorly refined Mario as the protagonist. It starts with 10 lives and several energy points.

Super Bros. 17: Fighting of the Mali Lugi
A hack of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, replacing the main characters with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Bowser, using graphics from Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Bros 4 came out in 1992. It came out in America. Meanwhile, the all-stars version came in 1993.

This wasn't a bootleg.
It was the first look of Super Mario Bros. 2 (JPN) for the west. Holy shit.

I had a Mario 14 cartridge on my Famiclone I think it was called "GLK-2004".
I always thought it was weird that Mario's head was changing to a girls's head sometimes. But after years I found the original game and realised my childhood Mario 14 wasn't a real deal lol

The funny thing is... When we were kids, we genuinely believed these are the real sequels. EVEN IF WE PLAYED THE ORIGINALS ALREADY.
And Mario wasn't the only one who's got such treatment...

6:00 Grand Dad... Grand Dad? Is it "Grand Dad" as in "Grand, Dad" or as in "grandad"? You know what's funny? Fred Flintstone is in this like "I'm in here to! Sup, sup?" Who made this game? I made this game! Or 1...

Oh yeah. 7 Grand Dad. A game I never seen or played myself, but somehow know from internet memes.
