To add on regarding the armor. There's a youtube video explaining it takes the same amount of hits to kill you while wearing heavy or light armor.

Don't sleep on the gas bomb it literally can completely melt entire Outpost of all enemies and its really quick as well and it sticks around for a while as well it's really allowed me to solo

Considering the heavy armor doesn't work right now, that armor tip is especially helpful.

If you're grinding creds be aware that almost every "?" location has a half dug out hole on location. Inside this little area is usually some ammo. But look for the blue or orange shipping crate door, which you will easily see. Hit it with a grenade. There's always stuff inside. I just finished a 12 minute run on easy, and got 30 creds and 14 medals.

Another tip for playing with the Autocannon: You can destroy bug hives and the robot factories with it, especially the factories you can do from a long distance as long as you have the right angle. You have to shoot factories straight on against one of the flaps pointing upwards where you normally toss a grenade in, and as for the hives you have to shoot the orange inner part to destroy it. This saves you a ton of grenades or other stuff you need to call in, it can also save a lot of time by not having to get in close, and possibly ammo.

Lay down with the z key before you throw something like a sentry if you want a precise placement. It keeps the beacon from bouncing.

Biggest tip is to buy the Radar buff for your ship asap and the Team radar buff in the Warbonds. This let's you see enemies up to two tiles away without having to place markers. Dodging all of the patrols makes missions 10x easier on higher difficulties.

The thing is that other insects can sound the "alarm" not just the small ones. I ve seen brood lord and other insects do that as well i guess all of them can do that except the charger...

(edit: one of the) Fastest way to level up solo (early levels 0-15) -> level 1 difficulty -> Brood Mother Kill Mission/Radio Tower Demo -> drop directly on obj, and bring autocannon or anti material rifle (if radio tower impact nade will do)-> (tower: toss nade at tower and book it to extraction ez done) go to red rock in middle and 3 shot brood -> go next door to extraction all done 5 minutes.

Edit: once mortar is unlocked move on to helldive automaton annihilation farming. Easy 1000-1200 per 5 minutes. Plus 8-11 medals.

Great video as I'm currently wanting to play solo when my friends aren't on as I'm enjoying the game. My only issue is that I do get overwhelmed a lot of times with so many bugs around me and coming out of nowhere. But knowing which stratagems to consider buying and a few extra gameplay tips I learned from this video I should help myself survive a little longer.

As others have said, Armor Rating is bugged... but supposedly, the scout helmet in level 7 of the warbond is also bugged and gives you additional speed and stamina regen. Apparently the helmets and capes originally had different values, like the armors do, but they changed it before launch... but if reports are true, those changes didn't apply to that helmet (even if they show standard values on the UI).

I haven’t played this game solo yet, usually at least one of my homies squads up w me. Depending on the difficulty you’re on bringing 2 sentry’s is worth it. I’m assuming this works good solo as well but when my homie and I bring and auto and Gatling sentry its golden up to hard difficulty. Hard enemies are gonna start killing your sentry’s more often (invest in the sentry ship modules!!!)
