For readers who don’t have time to watch your and Jessica’s earlier live review of the 2.0, my question was, will the BB 2.0 “soft” settings now suit someone who doesn’t pump above a level 3 on a Spectra S2 or Unimom Opera and your answers were “….probably not the best option on the market for someone like that if you are exploring options to buy, but if you already have bought it, there are hacks to bring the suction down.” So I’m sharing that here for benefit of the audience. And feel free to revise that answer if you think revision is merited. If my information is up to date, I believe Baby Buddha is the only pump manufacturer that offers free lactation support to customers who buy their pump from an authorized seller, so that’s a cool benefit.

Thanks for this! I have this pump and didn’t realize til I had my baby that I do have sensitive nipples. Sometimes even the lowest level is too strong for me. Thank you for mentioning that hacking the pump can change that too. I hacked it with the medela pump in style bottle/flanges because that’s what I had and needed a size 15 flange. But now I’m going to try an insert instead with the original parts and see if that feels better! Also I feel like it’s pretty loud. It is efficient though! I usually only pump for 5-10 mins on the lowest setting and get what I need.

Great video! Would you be able to make a video about differences with hacking the 2.0 version?

Can you recommend collection cups that pair well with this pump?

I really wanted the baby Buddha but shipping to Europe is 110$ and if I want to buy replacement parts later on the shipping is 75$ 🤯 does anyone know if this can be avoided and/or a comparable pump available in Europe?

Thanks for this video, the promo code didn’t work for me. Is there another code?

This is perfect timing! I'm 2 weeks postpartum today & I used the Spectra with my last kid & this time I used insurance to get the Babybudha. I've unboxed it, but haven't tried it yet. Been using the Spectra, but I want to start trying the babybudha one; was just a little intimidated.

Does the "auto suction advance" happen in ALL modes or just the soft stimulation mode? And can it be disabled?

Thanks for your video. I have this pump and like it for use at home or in the car. It's worth mentioning that baby buddha doesn't offer smaller flange sizes than 24. I had to buy inserts off Amazon to be able to use the baby buddha flanges, and also bought a backflow protector it to use the pump with my medela parts. Their website shows how you can "hack" the pump to use different brand products, which is very heplful but I wish they sold smaller flange options.

What cups do you recommend to pair with the baby Buddha?

There is a new baby Buddha with buttons. Not sure how old this video is. Or how long ago they put out the button one 😊

Would you recommend the baby buddha over the spectra s1, the Luna motif or the ardo Alyssa for a first-time mom? The s1 one is $64 with my insurance and the other one are covered. The BB suction scares me a little bit, thinking that perhaps I should a gentle pump.

Is the pumpables genie advanced still quieter than the BB 2.0? I love my pumpables from my last baby but my insurance is covering the BB 2.0 for only a 10$ upgrade this time around, so curious if it’s one I could use with cups and it not be too noticeable or if the pumpables is still quieter?
