Get ready for a magical adventure with a twist in Wivenhoe Pantomime Group's production of Beauty and the Beast! Meet Belle, an aspiring writer with big dreams and a sweet best friend, Buttons. When Belle loses her job at Wyvenhoe library after refusing to marry its boastful owner, Gaston, she’s heartbroken… until a strange offer appears. A mysterious job as a librarian at a distant castle is just the escape she needs! But when she arrives, she finds more than she bargained for—a gloomy castle ruled by a gruff Beast, enchanted talking furniture, and a strange curse that’s left everyone in limbo!
With laughs, toe-tapping songs, and fun galore, this panto brings Belle’s courage and quick-thinking centre stage as she faces the Beast, battles Gaston and his mean girl sisters that give Regina Georgie a run for their money, and finds new friends among the castle’s quirky characters. Will Belle’s words break the spell and reveal the truth behind the Beast’s rough exterior? Full of "Oh yes she will!" moments, audience singalongs, and plenty of comedy, Beauty and the Beast is a family favourite, made all the more magical with Belle’s new twist as a writer with a mission.

Wivenhoe Pantomime Group is a community group ran by volunteers. We have been putting on pantomimes since 1990, always at the William Loveless hall in Wivenhoe.
