My Cameras and Bags For Germany: Travel Edition

I'm off to Germany next week and it's time to decide which cameras, lenses, and bags I'll be taking with me on this trip. As you watch this video, you will see I'm about 90% decided. The 10% undecided part is mostly about lens choice. Isn't that always the problem? I will try to update this video while I'm in Germany, and I'll share my experiences once I get back to Canada on how each piece of gear helped throughout the trip. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram for almost daily updates on my whereabouts while I travel to Frankfurt, Wetzlar, Berlin, and Munich.

I’m guessing you are going to meet Samuel (Streetlife) Lintaro in Germany? 😎

Can't wait to learn about that Wotancraft waist bag. Recently purchased the Pilot (7L) thanks, in part, to your review, so thank you!

Great videos ! I notice you have a ventilated round lens hood on your cron 28mm. Is that a generic lens hood or is it the Thorsten-von-Overgaard lens hood ? Thaks for replying :)

When are you going to Wetzlar! Maybe - if you would like - we could have a coffee at Leica. I am only about 15 km away. Best wishes and a good flight, Dirk.

Great video. Can you lock the zips on the big back pack? Or fit padlocks?
Thanks

Nice. I also carry my GoPro around my neck but I use a homemade shoelace strap for it 😅

Been thinking of a trip to Wetzlar lately. Would be interested to know if you feel its worth more than a one day visit. As for your trip, I don’t see the point of both the Fuji and the Q2. I’d take the Q2 and you can crop to 35mm if necessary. Or just take the kitchen sink as well.

Love your workflow there, I see an iPad pro etc. Also I like that waist level camera on a wooden tripod, the perfect display piece in my books, always wanted the same thing. One day. The boxy waist level compliments the wooden tripod very much, the shape = a balanced look.

Hey, what watch are you wearing here?

Man, you got some serious GAS. Just give me a camera with a 35mm lens and I'm good to go 😅👍🏻

Deciding how I’m going to shot and what gear to take is always difficult. Thanks for your insights. Just got back from Germany, internet is excellent, unless like here, your in the middle of nowhere.
