Update
1: Open shortcuts
2: Tap plus icon top right corner
3: Tap open app below then tap the greyed out “app” button next to open
4: Tap blue icon top right
5: Tap add to Home Screen
You should be able to change the photo and name. Tap add when done and boom.

Tipp:If you delete the shortcut app (after you’re done) it will lead directly to the actual app without the extra step

I was so excited until I found out people are using the shortcut app. The extra lag for each app isn’t really worth it to me but hopefully Apple will finally let us customize more! Strangely I didn’t really want customization until it came out. Now it feels nice to have a minimalist home screen!!!
