I Had to Take it Down!

It was about to fall on the workshop, so I had to take it down. The 1st week of spring brings snow, cold, sun, warmth and rain as I finish maple syrup season with my family, go for a paddle with Cali and Nate, prepare the workshop area for expansion and collect rock for several upcoming stone masonry projects.

A number of years ago I did an 80 mile canoe/portage trek on the Boundary Waters in Minnesota with my son. It was one of the greatest weeks we spent together in the outdoors. Now at 58 and him being 30, I think it’s time we do it again. Thanks for the inspiration.

Callie is so funny at one point she was behind a tree couldn't see her at all but that tail was waving gently!
Since that is such a prime location for a tree maybe you could plant a sapling for the future.

Good call on the tree 🌳 Better to be safe than sorry ! I noticed how rich the soil looks there around the workshop and was wondering if it would be feasible to use some of that in the garden, like a little here and there without taking away the nutrients for the trees?
