Nice board. Lots of goodies hiding on that board. The price for a full ATX is not too bad I guess since I always buy mATX boards. You know me Mike the first thing I do is replace CPU socket hold down bracket with a contact frame for even pressure on the CPU. Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Take care. Cheers

Huge difference between the Z series and B series as far as included accessories etc. but NO manual? I don't care for that idea, even though I always grab the PDF anyway...seems cheap.

Nice review. I know AM4 gets a lot of love due the the 5700x3d and 5800x3d but IMO 12th gen cpus on fire sale right now in the US anyway. Paired with ddr4 that many people may already have they make terrific price performance builds. Sure LGA 1700 is a 'dead' socket but any i5 or i7 will be fine for years to come for most users. I put together a 12600k, MSI z690 A pro ddr4 board and 32g of memory I already had for less than the price of a 5800x3d alone. Good enough and the extra threads are nice for all around gaming and PC work such as video editing and so on.

Just bought one and installed yesterday. With I7 12700 non k.
Works very well and with power limits removed the cpu runs fast.
Pull around 130-160 watt during cinebench so thats good.

Temps Are 60 MAX with 280 artic freeezer II

Some people argue that this board will throttle 12400f (boost clocks)... is it true?

I'm not talking about overclocking, just stock settings and reaching maximum boost clocks (4.4 GHz).

Plenty of features on this mb, like the usb c port as more n more cases offer usb c io. Makes great sense with 6core cpu. I keep looking for am4 itx mb as have spare 5600 but new mbs rare plus no usb c! Is usb C only from b550 onwards? Look forward to build review, thanks Mike & Kath 🐈👍
