My long suffering Wife and I have been together for 31 years so far.

All i can say is that I got far luckier then I could have ever deserved.

But a few lessons learned.

Give each other space to grow. Lift your spouse up, even if it's just a kind word. Be there for them.

Don't hold yourself back by thinking your spouse "wouldn't want me to". Ask them. Let them help you.

Sex fades, but hugs never do. Keep touching each other.

Yes, you guys are very fortunate (like I am) to have married your best friend. My wife and I were friends for a LONG time before we married, and maintain the friendship FIRST, the marriage SECOND, effectively. One flows from the other.
