Rugby League Follows Swimming With A Transgender Ban, Athletics Could Also Follow

Fresh off the back of FINA’s controversial decision to ban trans athletes from elite women’s swimming, other codes signalled a similar move, including Rugby League, with some rules coming into play as soon as this weekend.

Trans people aren't banned from playing sports. XX can play women's and XY can play men's. Simple!

This isn't a discussion or decision for non-athlets to have, it's up to the women who have spent their whole lives training to compete in elite-level sports... and from what I can see they don't want to compete against trans women who are clearly bigger than they are and have better lung capacity which in most sports give a clear advantage regardless of their decreased strength from lower testosterone.

Transgender people should start their own leagues, see how many people become fans, then you'd know how much financial support you'd really have, but competing against real women is wrong

The panelists mostly seem to care nothing for women's sport. The puberty provision in the FINA decision is also not very honest. The divide between male and female performance explodes during puberty but it is already there long before that. Look at the age records for young children. Even in the youngest available range I found (8 years) there was already an advantage for the boys.

They aren’t banned they need to play in their own sports

Women went to their own league, trans clan still play in their biological league. This was ridiculous to begin with. This was at the expense of female athletes, especially with monetary prizes and opportunities. Glad everyone is coming to their senses. I could see biological women eventually being weeded out. This reminds me of the basketball team in Spain in 2000 that joined the Paralympics, and were not intellectually challenged. Their will always be those out there that take advantage of the system.

whoever these commentators are they have no real argument. "Lets just make the decision when it happens in each sport..." This is exactly why there are problems and issues. No one is willing until now to make a clear decision about Trans athletics. What you don't see often is Females transitioning to Males trying to get into sport. There is no advantage if biological female is trying to go into male sports. Why because there is no advantage. However Males trying to get into Females sport is overwhelming. This is the issue. There is a clear advantage. Make a different division as they do in most events and be done with it.
