I recently was commenting on a video about it and put the word into my comment, only to check back later to see if the channel creator had responded. Nothing. I was very weirded out and thought they hid my comments from the channel. I went into incognito mode and my comment wasn't there! I tabbed back to the logged in YouTube tab, and I put it in an innocuous message on the same video. It appeared on incognito and everyone else was seeing it. Mind blown. YouTube went too far with this one and is actively preventing people from discussing their problems in a minority community who struggles a lot with modern life. Sad.

Just happened to me now, very recently and freaked me out. I was commenting on someone's video about a news story of a kid's gifted knowledge and proclivity with airplanes at a young age and commented they may be in some way on the spectrum. Hoped I didn't get blocked or flagged by the person's video I posted on. I'll definitely be extra mindful of all words I use here, even if they're not written with I'll intent and taken out of context. I guess in this time people being extra vigilant of all social media activity is a good thing now anyway.

Thank you Nathan for doing this video! I tried to let people know about that on fb (a cousin laughed at me when I did that video by the way...) I also tried to tell them to spam messages to Youtube to stop that.

A strange thing is that, when I'm writing A.utism or A.utistic in French, it gets deleted right away, but one of my subscriber wrote it, and it didn't! He also told me it was not true that you couldn't write the A word somewhere else. Then, in my answer, I wrote it... And my comment didn't get deleted!!! and my subscriber also wrote it!!! I. AM. COMPLETELY... LOST.

When you fly do you fly with your dog as just a service dog or a psychiatric service dog? Since it’s in the DSM I’m worried they might deny me without the forms required for an ESA/psych service dog (they lump them together), but it’s not a psychiatric condition so...

This is why I disagree with Hate Speech laws. They can be used to censor whatever is considered “hate speech”. That’s the problem with algorithms. Who designed theses algorithm? & knows how many other people have been filtered and don’t have the voices to say anything. It’s become too subjective. Every one has a different term off offensive, the issue is when YouTube acts like a Platform when it is in fact a publisher. What if the algorithm then determine all videos on autism’s damaging because they “propitiate stereo types that might be offensive? Anyone else in for a Autism Actually Speaking or Nathan Selove website where we won’t be filtered ? 😂
