Are you going to buy the USB-C version of AirPods Max? If so... why?

as an airpods max daily user for the past 3 years I'm beyond disappointed with how apple has treated this product, first and foremost theese are "airpods" so all the "airpod" exclusive features u should expect, y Apple has chosen to shun thier most expensive Airpods is baffling, no adaptive audio, no conversation awareness, no new siri interaction, no voice isolation, no personalised volume, no water or dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.0 as opposed to 5.3, H1 chip as opposed to H2, none of the newly announced hearing aid features too, and all of theese features are avaliable on airpods that are almost half the price of theese, it genuinely confuses me what Apple are playing at here?

I really wanna buy it since I waited years for the update. But I just can't convince myself to buy something with the same technology 4 years ago. And there are so many other cheaper options

Anyone that owns a Lightning Aipods Max has ZERO reasons to "upgrade" to USB-C. Why spend $550 just so you can charge with another cable? If you can plug a USB-C cable in, you can surely plug a Lightning cable in for no more than the reason of saving all that money. I honestly hate the fact that they don't have a on/off switch, I started having problems with mine and that's when you wish they had them. They are old and outdated and surely treated this badly by apple means they are not a priority moving forward which to me is reason for concern if I was indeed in the market for new headphones...

No. I'm gutted, to be honest. I've been waiting for the update for about two years, because I've wanted a pair of these since they came out, even though they're overpriced. But now I really can't hand over that amount of money: the most expensive AirPods now have older technology than the cheapest pair of AirPods. This doesn't make sense.

I waited for the update. The update was disappointing to say the least. I’m ordering the Focal Bathys. I think Apple will find they had a lot of people holding that were wanting to buy that will now buy their alternate choice.

I think the case is a brilliant compact design. It protects the main surface area and I haven’t damaged my pair since I purchased in 2021. The last thing I want is a big clunky enclosed case that won’t fit into my laptop bag.

Sold my Airpods Max and bought the Px8. Very pleased

We have had them from release. Audio sharing is a strong feature. I use them for zoom and the mute function is key. The ANC is the best. I use them for hours every day.

I really wanted an headset. This Max was the obvious move for me. Unfortunately, i know that if I buy it this year, i'll probably be disappointed to see next year a new Max with all the features we have seen on the Pro 2, and Pods 4 ...

I still use mine all the time, mostly as a gaming headphone. Works very well for gaming, specially with the noise cancelling feature. I'll keep them for a long time. No need to upgrade

It honestly would have been a better move for them to either silently update them or just not at all. The optics are just bad, there's no excuse for these to not have gained feature parity with the cheaper and much smaller AirPod Pro's... I'm fully in the Apple ecosystem and was waiting for an update to these but I almost immediately bought the XM5's after the keynote

Apple is a joke at this point. After 4 years the only things they could upgrade is the colour and the UBS-C ? And this while keeping the same mediocre battery life for the same high price ?

I did, just because I always wanted a pair and waited 2yrs. I know it’s overpriced but I am heavily invested in the ecosystem and love the sound. Also will be buying some open back headphones for an alternative when listening while not working at a desk.

The reason I got the air pod max was because of the build I have huge ears and they have great ear pieces that make it very comfortable for me which I haven’t gotten anywhere else but with the big ear pieces it doesn’t stick out which I love that’s why I bought a pair of

Costco here in Canada has 1st gen $220 cheaper (including applecare) so I got the old ones in green

I’ve had the Beoplay H100’s for about a week now and I love them! They do a great job with immersive Dolby Atmos, giving you that ability to look away from the screen, yet have the audio stay pointed at the content. And I’ve been extremely happy with the ANC and transparency. Finally the sound quality, bass response, sound stage are awesome! Are you going to be reviewing those sometime soon?

Sold mine last year for some Focal Bathys, The Bathys are the best bluetooth headphones out there and with the added bonus of the DAC mode they do high res lossless which the APM cannot do
