Swastica symbols are drawn to decorate the beam of the home during the Tibetan new year. I remember my dad drawing swastica with flours on the beams of our living room. Even the door and window curtain has swastica pattern designed on it.
Tibetan called it Youngdrung. Swastica has much significance for Bonpos - even the name of religion is called Youngdrung Bon. Many Bonpo has Youngdrung as their name.

my understanding was that "Arya" was the Sanskrit term for "elevated being" (an honorific term denoting a high level of spiritual attainment), & that the Swastika, as the "mark of the Arya", was thus possessed by the Buddha as one of the auspicious signs & symbols.
This has always made me very curious as to how the notion of "Aryanism" & the Swastika both migrated to Germany by the late C19th / early C20th, with the unfortunate associations & interpretations that of course followed.
I would be very interested to know more about the history of this migration, particularly in light of the influence of Buddhism in 'romantic' era German culture (Schopenhauer & Wagner being the 2 examples known to me. Wagner's opera 'Parsifal' for example, evolved in part from material sketched for a planned opera on the life of the Buddha).
I think if i was a humanities academic, this would be a great area for research.
