Fun fact (Spoiler manga) : In the End, Tanjiro and Kanao blessed with a daughter which then becomes a grandma to their great grandchildren in the next 100 years. Their daughter told the stories of them when they were a demon slayer to her grandchildren which is the great grandchildren of Tanjiro and Kanao (Kanata and Sumihiko).
She also mentioned about sun breathing techniques of Tanjiro, how strong Tanjiro and Kanao were to save everyone in Japan and defeated the 12 Kizuki. She also told them how Tanjiro was still alive looking after her. (Which means Tanjiro was clearly still alive at his 30s)
However, their oldest great grandchildren Kanata didn't believe any of those, his brother Sumihiko did, but maybe will forgot since he is 8 yo that time. Other than that, Yoshiteru Agatsuma the great grandchild of Zenitsu Agatsuma believed the demon was real by reading the diary of Tanjiro that was passed to Zenitsu after the marriage with Nezuko. Sadly Toko Agatsuma, the sister of Yoshiteru, did not believe her great grandfather science fiction and does recognize that Zenitsu was just crazy.
Overall, after the modern world, Tanjiro's great grandchildren does not believe that their Great Grandparents were demon slayers who ended the demon era. However the last person who believed the existence of Demons was only their daughter and probably Yoshiiteru as well.
P.S. I think Toko is in love with Kanata, reminding me of Tanjiro and Nezuko in the past. Sadly, both of them are descendant of Tanjiro-Kanao, and Zenitsu-Nezuko... But both didn't believe their great grandparents story.😢
