Hanhart | 417 ES | Review

The Hanhart 417 es has as much historical pedigree as any watch out there. A favourite among German armed forces, a stalwart in Steve McQueen’s wrist rotation and produced in limited numbers, the original creations are now highly sought after collectors’ items. So, when the pilot's watch specialists announced a re-issue of this classic, we jumped at the opportunity to get our hands on the new 2020 version.

I like 42mm watches but that looks freaking huge on your wrist with that type of strap. The 39mm is a better choice on a wrist under about 7.5 inches I think.

Excellent review of a deserved classic. Photography also very professional. Well done. I'm biased though as I'm a huge Hanhart fan. Even so, this reissue is stunning and a bargain at the price. The addition of the old logo is a nice touch, too. Just wish they could have retained the original size.

Beautiful you can't go wrong with a Selita. It's a work horse 🐎 and cheap to service. Im definitely happy about the 100m WR. I try to stay away from 30m wr watches. Have to baby sit them to much 50m is my limit

I love the design and heritage of the watch, and as an avid Steve McQueen fan, I would be proud to wear it everywhere. However I looked at the online shop and it said 95 working days delivery, which is nearly 5 months! Is this right? Seems like a very long time to have to wait.

Love it! As soon as the Revolution bronze 417 came out, I had a feeling that a stainless steel is soon to follow. My fear was it’d be limited to something ridiculous, like the 1000 pieces they originally made, and that I couldn’t get my hands on one. Luckily, it won’t be limited, and I have immediately placed an order for one as soon as our US distributor offered it for preorder. Thanks for the great video!
