2 dead, 1 missing as Typhoon Nanmadol slams into Japan

Let's start in Japan as the country has been hit hard by Typhoon Nan-ma-dol.

That's right,... according to reports, two people have been killed, one is missing, and at least 115 have been injured.
The typhoon first made landfall as a Category 2 hurricane on Sunday in Japan's Kagoshima Prefecture before moving northeast across the country.
Alongside violent winds, the storm has broken rainfall records in parts of Japan,... and is expected to deposit up to 300mm of rain on the central Tokai region until Tuesday evening.
Some nine million people were told to evacuate their homes, and the storm took out power from 340-thousand households, though some power has been restored.
Rail services on Kyushu Island and around 800 flights were also canceled on Monday.
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has delayed his trip to the U.N. General Assembly in New York this week in order to assess damage from the storm.
