It really made me happy that my husband felt like it was important to him that he wear a wedding ring. I can't count the times that the ring was smashed on his finger as his hand got jammed in one thing or another but he would never ever give up wearing it. The first one was so mangled that eventually he asked me if I would mind if we got him another one. We got him another one which he wore every day but he never let that first one out of his sight.

He didn't want one because at work it could easily get bent onto his finger, and he might loose a finger. For safety reasons he didn't want one. I'd rather have him whole and safe.
