Rob was a massive influence on my playing, more so than any other player. His guitar tone is so specific and quite literally the sound of Chimaira. They don’t get enough love as a band and I wish people would feature them more or talk about them more.

Chimaira Had so many epic riffs. Just yesterday I was listening to “this present darkness” album. So dark and heavy and they progressed so much over the years. I think if they did a reunion tour it would go well.

I saw Chimaira live in 2005 in West palm beach florida, they split the crowd like Moses and it was the best thing I ever saw live. I also caught the guitar picks both guitar players threw out into the crowd. The picks had their impossibility symbol on them. I caught one of them and the other pick didn’t make it to the crowd but a staff worker picked it up for me and gave it to me so I had both picks.

Hell ya, I’ve explored so much metal since I first found chimaira, Rob has always stood out with the riffs and the sound of his solos. There’s gold in their discography, and their instrumental tracks are all incredible.
