NIKOLA TESLA BRITISH PATENT 186,799 - PROCESS OF AND APPARATUS FOR BALANCING ROTATING MACHINE PARTS

A Practical Review of Rotating Machinery Critical Speeds and Modes

Tesla Turbine Actual Power Output Test - 1200 Watt Real Electrical Load - Turbo Jet Prototyping (sweet and simple version)
Renewable energy w/ Tesla turbines - energy independence off-grid

Check out my latest updates. Here’s my latest 10in diameter, 75disc aluminum and plastic prototype drive turbine dyno, 2.75kW and 6.22ft-lbs of torque to the shaft at only 4150rpm with a 150psi room temp comp air supply from a regular piston compressor for now. I’m gearing it UP AT 1:3.6 to dual BLDC gens with a Kv rating of 2200rpm/volt. So for every 611 RPMs on the turbine the generators output 1volt.

Tesla Turbine Generators With Usable Power and Torque

1200watt continuous electrical load output with room temp compressed air all the way down to 65 psi too and with the turbine only at about 6700rpm.

This is a look through of the 10in disc stack of 75 discs, +10,000in^2

These are the latest liquid fuel burner tests for the replication of GB 186,083.

These are the latest propane burner tests.

I haven’t gotten to my Tesla disc compressor tests finalized just yet but I have the setup to do them already just gotta do some upgrades to my bearing and gear hubs for the generators.

Awesome demo and great description! Can’t wait to see more

Interesting that you only have to take the mass off the bulky parts on either side of the discs rather then the discs themselves?

Have you considered trying carbon fiber disks?

Nice man, genius in design en presentation ! such a qwick en relatively cheap way of balancing rotary parts, . I wonder way this method is not used so often ( balancing it while it actually rotating)

I heard this method also works on dynamic balance making it perfect.

Dreamy shop, sir! Your stainless builds tho nice! I personally get into the HV pursuits; crazy one guy did so many things, never give up, look forward to the progress!

Are you going to try a further ultra fine balancing at the critical rpm? Was 1800, as 3x 600, the intended operating speed? 2x that, at 3600 rpm is often the target operating speed of AC gensets for 60hz.

Any thoughts of friction heating or any other heating?

Charlie, brother, when it will be commercialized? Show me da money!

P.S. no really, would love to see it utilized on a mass level

one additional idea for tesla turbines, as a wind tunnel concentrator generator, assuming the generator efficiency is that near 100%, to get most of the wind power, beat the betz limit, honestly

I would love it if your could dumb this down a little for the likes of me that doesn’t yet get what is happening here

There are much better more modern ways of balancing things. Look at how engine shaft balancing works and you can diy a system for under $200 that will get you much more accuracy.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Tesla's turbines didn't have a .25" wobble while he was "balancing" them.... Just saying: IF you can see some "dancing" from a 369ft away.... The "art" of balancing is still 2 easels away from your "Mona-Kerryn".... Don't mistake my sarcastic friendly-fire for anything other than a wiseass friend calling your choice of beer "gay"!
