i started using twitter again recently (ironically, because i’m using each social media less and filling the void by using more forms of it) and wow, that paid verification badge being pushed in the algorithm sure is showing me the world’s worst people all the time

The funniest coming out of this verified thing, is that yellow checkmarks exist, which are for offical companies. A guy called Disney Jr. UK got the yellow checkmark, meaning not only was he verified, but he was also a verified company. like i could sit here for hours trying to explain how goddamn funny this just is, the power a that man had was immense.
