In this video, I show some of the books and novels that I received for my birthday! Extremely grateful, happy, and appreciative for everything I was given, this list has a variety of different genres, vibes, and narratives present. Included and showcased in this short video are books: The Macclesfield Psalter, Yellowface by R. F. Kuang, The Foxhole Court and The Raven King by Nora Sakavic, manga Downfall by Inio Asano, and Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Mizuki Tsujimura. There are Japanese translated books, art books, literary fiction, and independently released novels too! I have only read two from the list so far, but hope to get to the rest soon! Some seem quite heavy and dark, while other are more emotional in other ways. On screen, I have also included some words to describe each book, so I hope you enjoyed and found my recommendations interesting! This is all paired with MILLION DOLLAR BABY by Tommy Richman.
