I went to the game last night and i was pretty bummed that Judge was off. I agree with Michael, fans come out to see him and I’m sure a ton of fans were also disappointed

Yankees lost but it was really nice to see our old friend Aroldis Chapman show up on time for some baseball related activities in September. Apparently he's remembered how to close out baseball games, good for him.

Similar to the words of that manager that pitched to Ohtani his 3 HR game, I think it would be great for baseball if Soto and Judge and everyone else played today, on a Saturday, against Paul Skenes. This is the type of pitcher you'll have to face in the playoffs and the matchup is just good for baseball in general.

The importance of being one of the 1st guys to have 60 HR seasons back to back is something Judge and Boone should be aware of.

Hitting 60 would have been neat. Also Guardians win tonight ties Yankees although Yankees have tiebreaker. BTW today 0-5 5 K’s

Totally agree…it’s not even the potential of 62 again, it’s the reality that once you hit 55 in any season each successive home run is meaningful. Outside of a few guys at the height of the steroid era, hitting 56-62 bombs has been the range that the best power hitters in their best seasons achieve for a CENTURY. He doesn’t need to break a record….he’s completing another historic MVP season in which he’s been even better than 2022. Moreover, getting to 60 would give him a second season at that threshold…..how many non juiced players have done that? If a basketball player has 78 with 3 minutes left, you don’t take him out cause he probably won’t get to 100. Impossibly dumb as always. The game punishes those that throwaway opportunities for greatness….ask the 14-0 Colts who tapped out.

He doesn't care about records he just cares about winning a Championship which is great. He could've been the DH and give Soto the night off but Soto wants to play. I agree with Kay on this one they have 5 days off after Sunday and best record in the AL is at stake.

I get it, you want to have Judge and Soto's bats, but you don't want either playing the field, and there's only one DH spot. If anything, I would have kept Judge in and sat Soto. Soto is the one who took a ball off the foot a couple of weeks ago, then crashed into a wall and hurt his knee like last week. I think they just wanted to give Judge a day, because Soto did sit one, then had to come save the day in extras. They both better play today.

Judge not in the lineup is inexplicable. This is why I can’t stand Boone. Even being the first non steroid guy to hit 60 HRs twice is a big deal. Boone sucks.
