It’s an interesting concept to spend time thinking about your year and then finding make up to go with those thoughts. think it’s a good practice in general to spend time being reflective.

I’m still so sad about MUG. I never got to get insomnia but I did get UD’s lounge which is pretty much the same. I’ve noticed these blue brown shades are disappearing. I think MAC discontinued their blue brown pigment this year.

And yeah, I've totally had Makeup Geek on my mind too. I feel like a lot of my makeup friends are like a decade younger than me, so I feel seeing Makeup Geek close was less of a BIG DEAL to them than to me or to you, knowing what we know about the company and it's earlier years. And I've been meaning to message and see what you thought about Marlena's videos, because I also felt a lot of different emotions about it. I feel like there's still a lot of mystery around big parts of the story but I also feel like... like I have to respect what she chooses to keep private or not, as an individual and as a business owner it's really her choice at this point. I was surprised about the health stuff and continue to wish her well but I feel like the videos made it clearer to me that like... Marlena will likely be less a part of my life now (unless she continues in makeup somehow or something haha).
