When Robyn went off on Maddie about wanting to go to the Presbyterian church youth group to socialize. Robyn was saying they can’t go because their frontal lobes aren’t fully developed. Then Maddie says, “I thought we could make up our own minds about what religion we want to believe in?” That’s when Robyn says, “You can decide when you are 18, until then you don’t decide.” Or something like that. Then Kody, just shuts it down and agrees with Robyn. Janelle was so angry!! 😡 I think she wanted to throw Robyn out of window.

Kody went to Dayton's surgery (which he caused and tried to blame their bio dad) but refused surgery for Ysabel who was in agony for her scoliosis and he made her wear a painful brace that was cheaper than surgery. Then when the inevitable surgery was required, he saw it as a vacation for Christine and she had to go fund me for the surgery. He's worse than a deadbeat dad, he's neglected these children. Their personalities are better for not being round him so much though. Robyn's kids look like hostages!

Robyn is not the brightest bulb but she is highly manipulative. She wanted all of Kody’s time and more than her fair share of the money, the best of everything. I really hate what she did to the OG kids. She is an awful person.

Another examoke id the Robyn Effect was when Kody opposed having the OG3 wives or any of their girls getting their ears pierced, yet he took one of Robyn's girls to get hers done and then gushed all over her about it!

The question is *why* Robyn and the show changed things and the answer is: Kody's narcissism. His prior narc supply was fading, on the way to coming to an end, because his kids were growing up, forming separate opinions, and no longer treating him like royalty the 2 days a week he spent with them. Robyn and the show provided a new supply, but it rewarded much more toxic behavior in Kody. Before, he was rewarded for things that were objectively good - showing up and doing dad things. Robyn, however, changed the family dynamic by rewarding him for being her best customer. The show rewarded him for making a spectacle of himself.

Kody doesn't seem to care about all the ruin Robyn has caused to his family. He probably only cares about what makes him happy, regardless of who/what that person is.

The biggest thing I noticed with the Robyn effect was that the women were less able to be heard. Robyn was in charge in her relationship with Kody, but she has always been able to manipulate him into believing he is in charge and that she is deferential to him. He then increasingly expected and demanded that the other women to defer to his wishes. They were no longer the democracy they claimed to be at the beginning.

KODY destroyed that "family" when he brought Robyn in.
I was shocked to recently find out Kody did NOT sign birth certificates for the majority of his children. Total DEADBEAT.

I feel kinda bad cuz I couldn't stand Christine in the early shows.. I thought she was just a jealous woman who complained all the time - and had no right because she was literally RAISED in this religion/polygamy and CHOSE this lifestyle... And because she's literally the 3rd wife! She knew she would have to share time. Come to find out that Kody seems to be a gaslighting, passive-aggressive narcissist who treated her very badly. Sorry, Christine! Enjoy your freedom from Kody!
