i live in north California have pine trees in my yard and latter fuels, i have learned keeping latter fuels away from are pine trees and are pine trees trimmed where limbs are not hanging low fire breaks 250 plus feet from are house is the only way to survive a fire there are places where bushes are closer to the house but they are kept clean if you don't clean out the burnables in a fire zone like these you lessen your chances old fire rules of 150 feet isn't enough got to give yourself safe room to fight the fire and stay to fight the fire if the winds are not to strong and you have water and the health to fight . elders kids pets papers pills loaded to run fight if you can. . we love are homes inter twined in the forest but weather has made are forest deadly dry we must cut burnables away from are homes or loose them.
