I remember when I realized some of my friends weren't friends worth sticking up for either. I even had my nose broken saving an old friend from getting beat up. Turned out he started it but no I wanted to defend the 'friend' I knew not the addict he became. You can't navigate a storm like that, it only pulls you in.

If Danny Masterson actually did what they charged him with it doesn’t matter who wrote a letter. I don’t care if he got a letter from Santa Claus. If he’s a rapist, he belongs in jail.

So, the initial trial was ruled a mistrial, because the jury failed to reach verdicts on three counts of rape, which happened in December 2022. And then Danny was retried this year by the same prosecutor, isn't that called Double jeopardy which is illegal??

from what I understand character letters are supposed to be about the person they knew personally, without considering the things he's charged with.
They should never have apologized.

It’s hard for them to accept that their friend is guilty of this, especially since the only evidence is word of mouth, so they feel bad for him and his kid, which is honestly natural and so the letter doesn’t bother me.

Waiting 20 years before suing (not to mention having mentioned earlier that it was consensual), I dunno man. I didn't follow this closely, I dunno how the trial went, but if I were on the jury I would have demanded for some *damn good* evidence before being convinced.
