Dr. Jackie is still doing her best work while keeping the tranquility among the women. As Dr. Simone is trying to move forward selectively in friendships, Cecil is making it his mission to help her get on track with everyone, including Quad. I still look at Dr. Jackie with the side eye after that scandal and those comments. I’ve experienced racism in the healthcare system as a black woman. I was denied pain medicine because the doctor said, “I thought you people had a higher tolerance for pain.” That’s not the only time I’ve experienced it either. Her comments are damaging and it’s not okay at all.
