(SPOILER) OMORI Bad Ending

here's the bad ending.

Imagine your at the hospital with your two injured friends in separate rooms and just look out the window and see one of them falling by

What this ending means in the story is that Sunny doesn't want to face what he has done, so what he does is kill himself by jumping off the building, making him stay in his own dream world where nothing ever happened and stays there as Omori forever, thus killing him.

It’s even more interesting that in this ending sunny/omori, who’s afraid of heights, jumps off of a building to end it

Imagine you see Sunny hit the ground and you're given:

*Omori did not succumb.*

you know what's crazy? Is that when Sunny's friends are about to leave the hospital, they'll see sunny's lifeless body lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
I'm sorry just thought about it when I was watching this.

The tragic story of Sunny. Lost his will, drive, sister, relationships, and hurt so many people along the way. Most of all, himself. The boy who lost everything. Including his own life.

Imagine how sad it must’ve been for everyone else. You think that “oH basil and sunny are fine now!” And are currently taking care of basil and planning to take care of sunny. But once you enter his room, you see sunny is gone.

This ending feels..so heartbreaking.
Also it really hits me in the gut that this is where they decide to put the Bo En song.

The way he leaps off the building is just full of the exagerrated swagger of a depressed teen.

What's really scary is the menu after you jumped, it's calm but in a bad way, knowing sunny jumped

Imagine when he hits the floor and:

Honestly, I’m surprised some people’s reactions to sunny falling was to laugh. I know they don’t mean it in a malicious way but for me, it felt gut wrenching to see the split second of him falling downward.

The thing is, both endings where he commits suicide or tells the truth does make sense. A lot of people suffering from depression can be on the road to recovery. You’ll watch and smile as you realize they’re becoming happier. But with every recovery, there is that one last final step. That final step is the most hardest step to take when recovering. And some people can’t handle it and aren’t ready to take that step. So they take ten steps back and it’s horrifying to watch.

It’s horrifying to watch someone you know, who you thought would finally be happy, slowly restarts.

And some people even take extremely drastic actions such as committing suicide because they can’t handle doing that final step.

That final step for sunny was confessing his sins to the ones he loves dearly. That fear of losing all that he has left overcame his will power to recover. And the only solution left besides recovering was to end it all. Which he ultimately did in the bad ending because he just couldn’t fight back omori he couldn’t fight back against his fear of losing everyone once they learn the truth.

And in order to not face that, he takes the hardest decision. To commit suicide.
