In the heart of the cold and merciless desert, a nomadic family lived. Behnam's father was addicted to drugs, and because of this, his life fell into chaos. He could no longer work, and because of this, his family lived in very difficult conditions.

Behnam's two children, Ismail and Farzaneh, faced many problems every day. They were forced to leave their rented house due to a heavy debt that Behnam owed to a man named Mehdi, and now they live in a ruin in the desert. The cold of the desert nights was extremely annoying, and the lack of water, food, and basic amenities made their life very difficult.

Ismail, the family's teenage son, was always worried about his and his sister's future. He knew that if things continued like this, they would have a difficult winter ahead and the cold of the desert could threaten their lives. His sister, Farzaneh, was going to school and trying to continue her education, but Ismail wanted to build a better life for them.

Ismail argued with his father every day, asking him to give up drugs and go to a nearby village to find work. He shouted, “Father! We can’t stay here! This is no place to live! The nights are so cold and we have nothing!” After much wrangling, Behnam finally agreed to go to the village.

When they reached the village, they were able to find work. But the problems continued. Behnam stole a shutter from his employer’s house while he was working. Ismail was very upset by his father’s action and told him, “Father! This is not right! Put that shutter back in its place!” But Behnam angrily replied, “If you try to expose my theft, I will kill you and Farzaneh.”

Ismail, who did not want to endanger his sister’s life, had to remain silent and not tell his employer. Behnam sold the shutter and bought drugs with the money. Ismail felt a great sadness in his heart and wondered how he could get out of this difficult situation.

He always remembered the good old days and tried to hope that one day they could have a better life. Ismail knew that he had to fight for his and his sister's future and never lose hope. The cold of the desert weighed heavily on them every night, but the love and hope in Ismail and Farzaneh's hearts were the warmth that drove them forward.
