KPop is a genre and if they say they talkin bout Special K and saying K Pop for popping it then there you have it. Get all the way over the fake outrage. The things that should cause outrage don’t. Haven’t heard about the song therefore, I haven’t heard the song however, calling it K-Pop is genius.

As an African American woman who is a fan of K-Pop who got interested in the genre because a lot of it sounds similar to HipHop and they even use American slang and dances but, it’s less cussing and some is very positive.

So, if they can use our stuff we can use theirs.

And it goes to show just how popular K-Pop has become.

It’s the music industry. K-pop does the same thing, targeting the American audience. They said the K meant ketamine. Also, a genre of music can’t gatekeep a name. The word K-pop doesn’t belong to them just like rap doesn’t belong to black people…right? Or are we divided again because if so then we need to talk about a few other things some cultures do to look like or “act like” a certain race…
